Radiography Training Course
This five
day (40 hrs.) course provides basic knowledge into how to effectively set up,
expose, process and interpret radiographs of weldments. Emphasis is placed
on the radiography technique requirements, image quality indicators, density,
processing, radiation safety and requirements of codes and specifications.
This course is practical in nature, utilizes classroom participation, and allows
for hands on application in the set up, exposure, processing and review of
radiographic film.
Course Objectives
This course will:
-
Provide
classroom training hours in accordance with SNT-TC-1A and ANSI/ASNT CP-189
requirements.
-
Provide training on radiation safety.
-
Provide hands on training with various
exposure and monitoring equipment.
-
Provide processing demonstration in a darkroom.
-
Provide hands on training on
radiographic evaluation of indications.
-
Prepare the candidate for Level I and II
examinations.
-
Discuss and apply code and standards
acceptance criteria.
Who Should Attend
This
course is designed for NDT technicians, welding inspectors, auditors, supervisors, managers,
